At All Saints’ School we realise the importance of a broad based education and its significance to a young child’s future. For parents the choice of school can be a difficult decision, and it is therefore important that the philosophy of the school i.e. what we stand for, is understood when you entrust your child to our care. We aim to provide your child with a happy and secure environment where there are clear expectations of high standards in work activities and behaviour, and where we form strong links between school and home.

We are always here to listen or to help, and in partnership with you, we will do our best to encourage and develop your child’s full potential in all aspects of school life.

THE BROAD AIM OF THE SCHOOL

Our aims are directed towards preparing each pupil for life beyond the school. They are concerned with developing high standards through the provision of quality learning experiences and making the most effective and efficient use of all resources available to us.

MISSION STATEMENT

We seek to enable children to reach their full potential educationally, spiritually and socially, so that they may become all that God has created them to be. Our distinctive church school is committed to developing lively, enquiring minds in a happy, safe and caring environment, based on Christian values, which encourages all to show respect, acceptance and understanding of others.

  • To promote the highest possible educational standards through the presentation of good quality work
  • To recognise and provide for the needs and talents of pupils to enable them to develop their abilities to the full
  • To recognise and reinforce positive standards of behaviour as agreed by the whole school community

  • To ensure that the curriculum includes all statutory requirements and is appropriate, flexible and relevant to the needs of the developing child
  • To help pupils develop a range of skills, think abstractly, gain information and form positive attitudes
  • To sustain and improve the quality of our work through regular monitoring and evaluating teaching and learning

  • To provide value for money
  • To make the best use of both human and environmental resources to enhance the quality of education offered to pupils

SPIRITUAL, MORAL, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT OF PUPILS

We recognise that children are at the centre of education and, whatever their age, ability, gender, race or background, should have an equal opportunity in what we offer as a school.
We raise awareness of moral values and respect for the beliefs of others within a Christian ethos and we foster self confidence within a secure and happy environment. We develop a caring community which recognises equality of opportunity and fosters concern and respect for others.

The school is a warm and cohesive community. Courtesy, good manners and levels of consideration for others are evident. The school values high quality relationships between pupils and between staff and pupils.
